Dear Friends in the Nuclear Medicine Community in Asia,

In the 12th Annual General Meeting of ARCCNM in Mumbai, India, I was nominated to new Chairman of ARCCNM. Since the first AGM in Dhaka, Bangladeshi in 2001, the founders, the leaders, and the colleagues of ARCCNM created a wonderful working platform to promote nuclear medicine practice in Asia.

Under the leadership of Prof. Henry Bom, the former Chairman of ARCCNM and the present President of Asia and Oceania Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology (AOFNMB), the official Journal of AOFNMB/ARCCNM, Asia Oceania Journal of Nuclear Medicine (AOJNM), started this year with a great support by Prof. Seyed Rasoul Zakavi (Editor-in-Chief) in Iran.

In 2014, the Executive Board of ARCCNM (Prof. Durre-Sabih as Chairman, Prof. Teofilo O.L. San Luis, Jr., Prof. Henry Bom, and Prof. Jun Hatazawa) are preparing for the first Board examination collaborating with the European Association of Nuclear Medicine. ARCCNM is now involved in the activity of World Initiative of Nuclear Medicine which is now focusing on the standardization of Pediatric Nuclear Medicine.

We have the 13th AGM of ARCCNM in Osaka in conjunction with the 4th Congress of the Asian Society of Nuclear Medicine Technology, the 54th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine, and the 34th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine Technology.

The time to dream a dream of Nuclear Medicine in Asia has finished, and the time to realize our dream starts in 2014.
